Prompt Save respects copyright. If you believe content on the service infringes a work you own, send a notice that includes the items below and we'll act on it promptly. We comply with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) and similar regimes in other countries.
Filing a takedown notice
Send the following to the contact listed on our About page:
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- The URL of the prompt, comment, or profile on Prompt Save where the infringing content appears.
- Your contact information — full name, address, phone, and email.
- A statement, made in good faith, that you believe the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
What we'll do
- Remove or disable access to the content if the notice is valid on its face.
- Notify the user who posted it.
- Keep a record of repeat infringers and terminate accounts where appropriate.
Filing a counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe it wasn't infringing — or the takedown was a mistake — you can file a counter-notice with:
- Identification of the removed content and the URL where it appeared.
- Your contact information.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe the content was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of U.S. federal court in your district.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the content unless the original complainant files a court action within ten business days.
Misrepresentations
Knowingly making a false claim of infringement (or false counter-notice) carries legal liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
