Community Guidelines
Last updated: April 27, 2026
Prompt Save is a place for creators, engineers, and writers to share prompts that work. These guidelines describe what belongs on the service and what doesn't. They sit on top of our Terms of Service — the terms are the legal contract, and the guidelines are the practical version.
What we encourage
- Prompts you've actually used and refined.
- Clear titles, useful tags, and a short note on what the prompt is for.
- Crediting the source if you're adapting someone else's prompt.
- Constructive comments — a remix is usually more useful than a complaint.
What's not allowed
Illegal or harmful content
- Sexual content involving minors. Zero tolerance — accounts are removed and reported to authorities.
- Threats, doxxing, or coordinated harassment.
- Content that promotes self-harm or suicide.
- Promotion or facilitation of real-world violence or illegal activity.
Disallowed prompts
- Prompts whose primary purpose is generating any of the above.
- Prompts that try to extract another service's system prompt or bypass their safety policies.
- Prompts designed to generate malware, working exploits, or credential-theft tooling.
- Targeted impersonation of real people in ways meant to deceive (parody and clearly-labelled fan content are usually fine).
Spam & manipulation
- Bulk re-posting the same prompt across many accounts or collections.
- Buying, trading, or running scripts to inflate saves, follows, or copies.
- Hidden affiliate links or undisclosed sponsorship in prompt text.
Privacy & copyright
- Don't paste private data — emails, addresses, internal documents — into a prompt that you publish.
- Don't copy a prompt verbatim from another author and present it as your own. Adapt and credit.
- If you receive a copyright complaint, our DMCA page explains how it's handled.
How we enforce
We use a mix of automated signals and human review. Possible actions, in rough order of severity:
- Hiding a single prompt or comment.
- Removing visibility from a profile (shadow-restrict).
- Suspending or terminating an account.
- Reporting illegal content to authorities where required.
Reporting and appeals
Use the report button on a prompt or profile to flag content. If your own content is removed and you think we got it wrong, reply to the moderation email and we'll review.
